Who We Are
The Recovery Solutions team is staffed by a dynamic group with over 30 years of experience in the mental health, addictions, and educational fields. The team has a diversity of experience and expertise and leverages these strengths to provide comprehensive, data driven services.
Recovery Solutions was involved in evaluating many of the country's first pilot treatment tracks, including Veteran's specific treatment courts, co-occurring disorders courts and trauma specific programs. We continue to build a comprehensive portfolio of publications, create progressive training and consulation models, and develop wholistic approaches to recovery.
Richard Washousky is the founder and President of Recovery Solutions Consulting and Training. He has been working in the mental health and education fields for over 40 years and has become a national leader in developing and implementing unique treatment programs that integrate successful educational and life skills components into rehabilitation. He has released several publications and continues to write and evaluate grants, as well as deliver trainings throughout the country.
Richard holds an A.B.D. and M.S. from Boston University as well as a B.S. from Binghamton University. Richard also holds several certifications, including as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, National Certified Counselor, American College of Addictions Treatment Administrators, Masters Addictions Counselor, Certified Addictions Specialist, National Certified Psychologist
David Washousky is Vice-President and project director for Recovery Solutions. He has been involved in directing grant evaluation projects, training and consultation, as well as SCRAM management. His work includes grant evaluations for the Buffalo Veterans Court, Lackawanna Co-Occurring Disorders Court, Buffalo Mental Health Collaboration, Amherst Co-Occurring Disorders Court, Buffalo Crossroads Youth Court, Buffalo Trauma Treatment Track, and Tonawanda Drug Court.
David holds a B.S. from Allegheny College and an M.Ed. from Slippery Rock University.
Tracey Taylor is a project coordinator for Recovery Solutions and has been involved in the research, writing, and publication of several key grant evaluation projects. Her body of work includes grant evaluations for the Buffalo Veterans Court, Amherst Co-Occurring Disorders Court, Buffalo Trauma Treatment Track, Buffalo Crossroads Youth Court, and the Tonawanda Drug Court. She also has participated in the Veteran's Treatment Court Planning Initiative Training Program conducted by National Association of Drug Court Professionals and Justice for Vets.
Tracey holds an M.A. in Rehabilitation Counseling and a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Edinboro University.
Tracey is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is a Nationally Certified Counselor, a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She also holds a license as a Behavior Specialist.
Shari is an education specialist that works for Erie Community College's Education 2 Recovery program. She has been involved as a liason for various problem solving courts in the 8th Judicial District and has assisted in evaluation research and writing.
Shari holds an M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling from University at Buffalo and a B.S. from Hilbert College in Human Services.
Shari is a National Certified Rehabilitation Counselor.
Beth Menikheim joined the Recovery Solutions team after retiring with over 20 years of experience in managing federally mandated drug and alcohol testing programs in upstate New York. She has represented employers in legal proceedings challenging drug testing results and subversion of testing attempts. She has a broad base of working partnership with substance abuse treatment experts and treatment facility personnel. Beth is Recovery Solution's Central NY field representative.
